El jueves 29 de abril se dio a conocer la lista completa de finalistas de los Billboard Music Awards 2021, y aunque The Weeknd arrasó como finalista en 16 distintas categorías, también muchos artistas latinx figuraban entre los posibles ganadores.
La entrega de los Billboard Music Awards se llevó a cabo este 23 de mayo en el Microsoft Theater de Los Ángeles, California. Nick Jonas estuvo a cargo de la conducción del evento, donde famosos como Karol G, Doja Cat y muchos más se llevaron el premio a casa.
